"Customizable Controller with Knob" Appears to Have Bugs

I have the above-mentioned hardware, as well as the basic keyboard and the number pad [with 15 keys]. Despite the language issues with the TMICE app (portions of text only appear in Japanese characters [see appended screenshot]), I have had relative success in assigning functions and using everything other than the knob. My greatest desire for the knob was that clicking it would equate to a left-click of my mouse, and that spinning the knob in either direction, when in a word processing program, would move the cursor in the direction corresponding to my knob spin. Regardless of my interaction with the knob (clicking or spinning), the effect is that the pointer and/or cursor disappear.
